Roda is an excellent choice for beach lovers and families.
Transfer time is approx. 2hrs 30 minutes (coach), 1hr (taxi).
Roda is on the north coast of Corfu at the far end of the bay and 8km from neighbouring Acharavi. The main beach is accessed down steps, where there is parking. The town beach is of compact sand, with sun loungers and brolleys for hire. The pebble beach begins towards the Acharavi end. The resort has been making efforts to improve itself with bench's along the sea front, planting palm trees and beach cleaning, thou you still find the odd dog end in the sand. The usual beach sports are well catered for as are water sports.The unspoiled beach of Roda combine a fantastic scenery not far from the beach from the beach is a large area covered by bushes, pine trees and other kinds of beautiful plants.
Accommodation consists of apartments, small inexpensive hotels and one first-class hotel complex. There are numerous tavernas and some restaurants.
How to get there
1. The green buses leave from the centre of Corfu Town every one and a half hours.
2. By hire car it would take you approx 40 minutes.
3. The municipality of Esperion runs a free bus service 3 times a week to all the main beaches, the bus service is for both locals and tourists to use. |
