PIRGI AND IPSOS - SAND/SHINGLE - BLUE FLAG

Ipsos is on the north-east coast, situated approx. 11 km from Corfu Town. It is a beach resort, which faces Albania and the Greek mainland.

The beach runs from Ipsos to the small village of Pirgi in one long strip. There are fine views across the bays to Corfu Town and green hills inland. The long shingle beach curves into a tiny harbour. It is a very narrow beach and immediately below the road.

Its main appeal lies in the availability of water sports - para-gliding, water-skiing, and wind-
surfing in addition to fun rides, water slides and pedaloes.

Accommodation is generally in the lower categories and ranges from self-catering to hotels with a number of camp sites. The accommodation is situated mostly in Pirgi. There is a large range of fast food, "pub grub" and many more local-style tavernas and restaurants.

How to get there:

1. Blue Buses which leaving from Saroco square to Ipsos every 10 minutes .
2. The green buses which leaving from the center of the city every half an hour.
3. By car in 20 minutes fom the centre of Corfu Town.
4. Taxi.
