Situated on the east coast, Kontokali is a small coastal village adjoining Gouvia Bay, a low peninsula curves around to the opposite side where more accommodation is located.

Much of the waterfront is taken up by a vast marina.

The beach is a mix of sand and shingle with shallow water suitable for children. Apart from the beach there are swimming pools which are open to the public and free of charge.
