Kavos is situated on the southern tip of the island in fairly flat country facing the distant hills of the Greek mainland. It has a five mile sweep of sandy beach and is the most action packed spot on the island.
The beach stretches from Kavos to beyond St Petros, the wider section dotted with parasols. Very shallow water provides a safe environment for a large variety of water sports.
Hotels, self-catering and small pensions provide the local accommodation. There are many tavernas with a good choice of British and Greek food. There are also lots fast food outlets. |
