Dassia Beach
Dassia BeachDASSIA - SHINGLE/PEBBLE - BLUE FLAG

Suitable for younger couples, or those wanting a busy resort day and night, though it's not has busy has its near neighbour Ipsos.

Transfer time 40 minutes (coach), 20 minutes (taxi).

Located 9 km from Corfu Town on the east coast, facing Albania and the Greek mainland. Dassia is surrounded by beautiful green woods full of Olive and Pine trees ideal for those interested in hiking.

The beach is long and narrow, mostly shingle and pebble. The sea is calm and flat, and gently slopes down to the sea. Jutting into the sea you will find wooden platforms. They have been placed there for you to swimming from, an ideal spot for a bit of sunbathing but do remember the sunscreen factor 20/30 at the very least. You will also find sunbeds and brollies available on the beach for a small fee. With safety in mind most of the beach paths are lit at night.

Dassia has a reputation for quality water sports including windsurfing, waterskiing and parascending. You might also like to try hiring a small boat to explore the many coves close by.

Please be careful when crossing the road to the beach it can be quite busy in the day.

If your after more than watersports and keeping your feet firmly on land is more your thing, Dassia also offers a golf course, or how about pony trekking.

Dassia's built on a flat coastal plane its ideal for exploring the countryside either on foot or why don't you hire a cycle. (The whole resort is quite flat making it a good choice for the Disabled holiday maker).

There are a range of hotels with a few in each category.

There are a mixture of tavernas, snack bars, pizzerias, casual and mainly inexpensive beach
bars, and restaurants.Dassia Beach
