Barbati Beach |
Barbati is located towards the northern end of the east coast, just as the island widens, 16 km from Corfu town and is a beach resort.
It clings to the steep green slopes of magnificent Mount Pantokrator where they plunge to the sea. There are fine views across the bay towards Corfu Town.
There is a long, white shingle beach which is sheltered and safe but shelves quite steeply. It can be reached by foot or car via a rough track which leads down steeply down from the coast road.
There is a selection of water sports, pedaloes and dinghies available.
A handful of self-catering apartments and small hotels provide the local accommodation. There are several tavernas. 
How to get there:
1. The blue buses which leaving from Saroco Square every 10 minutes to Dassia. 2. The green buses which leaving from the center of the city every half an hour. 3. By the car in 20 minutes. 4. Taxi-boats, which connect the beach of Barbati and Ipsos. 5. Taxi from Saroco Square. |
